Robert Louis Lambert

Robert Louis Lambert, 83, passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Robert was born on January 2, 1940, in Iredell County to the late John France and Grace Gregory Lambert. He attended Statesville Schools and went on to serve in the US Army. Robert married his wife, Dianne Haire Lambert, who survives, in 1966. They are members at St. Paul Lutheran Church. Robert worked at Hugh’s Sheet Metal for thirty-six years before retiring. He enjoyed eating, traveling, and getting to love on his grand children and great grandchildren. In his spare time Robert would garden, do woodworking, watch westerns on TV, make walking sticks and tell stories.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his brothers, Marvin and Sabert Lambert and sister, Rachel L. Fox.

Along with his wife, Dianne, of fifty-seven years, Robert is survived by his children, Jeffrey C. Lambert (Leslie), Eric Lambert (Amy) and Amy L. Dellinger all of Statesville. Also surviving are six grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, his sister-in-law, Martha Lambert, brother, George Lambert and sister, Nancy L. Southers.

A graveside service with military honors will be held 1:00 pm, Saturday, November 25 at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
