Robert Eugene Holland

Robert Eugene Holland, 83, of Statesville, passed away on Thursday, February 17, 2022 at Iredell Memorial Hospital with his sons by his side.

Robert was born on April 30, 1938 in Iredell County and was the son of the late, William Fowler Holland and Maude Savannah Brawley Holland. He attended Diamond Hill Baptist Church. He proudly served in the US National Guard and Army Reserve.

In addition to his parents, Robert was preceded in death by his wife of fifty-five years, Joan Bell Holland and siblings, Fred, Frank and Shirley Holland.

Robert is survived by his children, Robert “Robbie” Holland, Ashley Holland (Shiloh), Jonathan Holland and Shane Holland (Michelle). Also surviving are seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1:30 pm, Monday, February 21 at Diamond Hill Baptist Church with a visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens with Rev. Larry Holleman officiating. Pallbearers will be Robbie, Ashley, Shane and Triston.
