Rita Owens

Rita Owens, 71, of Harmony, passed away Sunday, March 2, 2025, at her residence.

Rita was born in Grundy, Virginia on June 8, 1953, to the late Bill Dotson and Fannie Deel Dotson.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine Boyd, Marie Elswick and Sharon Kay Dotson.

Those left to cherish her memory are her husband of 52 years, Johnny Owens; daughters, Jennifer Owens of Harmony, and Lisa Elliott (Brad) of Bristol, TN; granddaughter, Kaitlin Owens (Eric Maggard, fiancé); great grandson, Owen Maggard; sisters, Mildred Woods (Merle), Charlene Lockhart (James), and Wanda Yates; brothers, Buford Dotson (Julie), and Leon Dotson.

There are no formal services scheduled at this time.
