Richard Allen Webster

Richard Allen Webster, 71, of Statesville, NC, passed away on Saturday, September 5, 2026.

He was born in Statesville, NC, on August 18, 1955 to the late Maxie G. Allen and Robert Webster. He is survived by his son Derrick Webster, granddaughter Lexi Webster, two great-grandchildren, stepfather James Allen, sisters Debbie Martin (who was his primary caregiver) (Darrell Martin), and Jamie Allen (Alison Holmes), honorary brother Robert Moore, and lastly by his two special 4-legged companions: Oscar and Ollie.

He worked as a fiber optic operator with CommScope Industries for more than 20 years before a workplace injury disabled him. He enjoyed playing softball, competing on bowling teams, and was a certified scuba diver. But most of all, he loved being a Father and Grandpa.

The family will hold a private ceremony to celebrate the life of Rick Webster.
