Richard Eric Justice

Richard Eric Justice, 47, of Raleigh, NC, passed away, Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at the home of his mother, Jane Wilson Justice, in Statesville, NC.

Richard was born September 22, 1971 in Iredell County and was the son of Jane Wilson Justice and the late William Joseph Justice. He was a graduate of Tarboro-Edgecombe Academy and East Carolina University. He was an inspector for the NC State Department of Health and Human Resources. Due to declining health, Richard made his home with his mother since October of 2018. He enjoyed fishing, music, playing guitar, going to the beach, reading and was a movie buff. Richard had lots of friends, who were faithful to visit him in Statesville.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother, Scott Justice (Jennifer), two nieces, Julia and Lucy Justice all of Raleigh; three aunts, Ellen Thomasson, Scottie Griffin (Ed), Susan Sapp (Butch); two uncles, John justice, Spruce Hart (Sherri); step-grandmother, Ann Wilson and a number of cousins.

A service to celebrate the life of Richard Eric Justice will be conducted 2:00 p.m. Friday, January 18, 2019 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. David Comer officiating. The family will visit with friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m. prior to the service.
