Rebecca "Becky" (Mckenzie) Gregory

Rebecca McKenzie Gregory, 86, of Statesville, passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022 at Maple Leaf Health Care.

Mrs. Gregory was born February 02, 1936 in Gaston County the daughter of the late, Edgar Alvin McKenzie and Rena Armantine Capel McKenzie.  She was a graduate of Mitchell Community College and was married to the late John Mitchell Gregory who preceded her in death in 2018. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her son, John M. Gregory, Jr. in 1978.   Becky was a real estate agent with Hunter Realty and also with Coldwell Banker both in Statesville.  She was active in the community and was a member of Forest Park Presbyterian Church, having served as the choir director.  She was a member of the Eastern Star, the McDowell Music Club, and was most active in the Statesville Little Theater.

She is survived by a niece, Sondra H. Newton (L.C. Newton), nephew Luke Hamilton, sister-in-law, Marilyn B. Gregory, nephew Thomas Warren Gregory, Jr., niece Kimberly Elaine Moore (Jeff), and great niece, Kameron Leigh Moore.

A service to celebrate the life of Becky Gregory will be conducted 11:00 am, Thursday, June 16, 2022 at Forest Park Presbyterian Church, the Reverend Scott Jeffreys officiating.  The family will visit with friends following the service in the Church Parlor.
