Rayvon Cashion

Dec. 23, 1939 - Jan. 9, 2015 S. Rayvon Cashion, 75, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, January 9, 2015 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. He was born December 23, 1939 in Iredell County to the late Henry and Edna Pope Cashion. He was a retired sergeant with the NC Department of Corrections. He is survived by his wife, Janis Daniels Cashion, of the home; sons, Darryl Ray Cashion and wife, Chrissy, of Troutman and Michael B. Cashion and wife, Laurie, of Conover; brother, Gene Cashion of Statesville; sisters, Carolyn Floyd and husband, George, of Tillman, SC, Doris Sherrill and husband, Jimmy, of Mooresville and Kathy Burdett and husband, Stephen, of Scottsville, Va; grandchildren, Jeffrey and Alisa Cashion, both of Myrtle Beach, SC and Shane Cashion of Statesville; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son, Jeff L. Cashion and brother, Billy Cashion. A visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:30 - 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at Troutman Funeral Home followed by a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jason Buchannan officiating. At other times, the family welcomes friends to visit at the home.
