Mr. Marvin Ray Stewart, 49, of Statesville, N.C., passed away peacefully on Thursday, Nov. 19, 2009, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born Aug. 16, 1960, in Iredell County to Marvin Oscar "Pete" and late Judy Matheson Stewart. Mr. Stewart was a welder for Hugh’s Sheet Metal in Statesville. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Lori Hedrick Stewart; two daughters, Stephanie Marie Stewart and Emily Ann Gomez (Juan); four brothers, Samuel, Jerry, Jeff and Rex Stewart; and four grandchildren, Christian Ramirez, Melvin Cedillos, Carlos Gomez and Natalie Velaques. He was preceded in death by his mother and one brother, Richard Stewart. A visitation for Mr. Stewart will be held from 6 to 8:30 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 22, 2009, at Troutman Funeral Home. Funeral services celebrating the life of Marvin Ray Stewart will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 23, at Clearvision Missionary Baptist Church in Statesville with the Rev. James Snead officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Sam, Jerry, Rex, and Jeff Stewart, Tim Lippard and Pete Little.
