Ralph "Perky" Frazier

Ralph “Perky” Perkins Frazier, 82, of Statesville, passed away Friday, February 28, 2025, at Maple Leaf Health Care.

Perky was born in Iredell County on November 10, 1942, to the late James Ralph Frazier and Lois Perkins Frazier.

He was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church, where he enjoyed serving meals and baking cakes for others. He also took great pride and enjoyment in caring for his special needs son, Chad.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Chad Frazier; brother, Jerry Frazier; brother-in-law, Ronald Sharpe.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 53 years, “Rose” Jessie Clendenin Frazier; daughter, Joy F. Murphy (Mike); sisters, Vicky Frazier and Patricia Sharpe; granddaughter, Lauren Murphy; grandson, James Murphy; numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Tuesday, March 4 at New Salem United Methodist Church with Rev. Tony Matthews officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
