Pete Davidson Raymer

December 9, 1928 - November 17, 2017 Pete Davidson Raymer, 88, passed away at his home in Troutman on November 17, 2017 after a long illness. Born December 9, 1928, he was the son of the late Kenneth Loretz Raymer, Sr. and Rae Davidson Raymer. He attended Statesville City schools, graduating from Statesville Senior High School in 1948. He was retired from Public Oil Company. On April 28, 1951 he married the former Mary Alice Alley, who survives. In addition to his wife, Mr. Raymer is survived by a son, Scott D. Raymer, and wife, Kathy, of Statesville; a daughter, Hannah R. Hearne, and husband, Tom, of Albemarle; and a sister, Ann R. Boggs, of Statesville. He is also survived by two special cousins, Max Davidson and Harold Davidson, both of Statesville. He was preceded in death by four brothers: K.L., Jr., Joe, Ray, and Bill Raymer. Graveside services for Mr. Raymer will be held on Monday, November 20, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Michael’s Cemetery in Troutman with the Rev. Dieter Punt officiating. The family will receive friends after the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, P.O.
