Mrs. Peggy Ann Huff, 83, of Statesville, passed away, Monday, November 4th, 2024, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.
Mrs. Huff was born on July 31st, 1941, in Yadkin County, NC. She was the daughter of the late Hessie Smith and Raymond Smith (stepfather). She is survived by one son, Tim Huff (Christy); two daughters, Teresa Bell (Mike), and Kim Sipes (Robbie); 10 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, one brother, James Macemore (Amy) and one sister-in-law, Annette Smith. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ken Huff, daughter, Lisa Rash (Ricky) and one brother, Johnny Smith.
On June 12, 1960, Peggy married the late Ken Huff. Her 60 years of marriage not only brought her a large, loving family, but also a lifetime of travel and endless adventures. Their travels together covered many states. Whether in a car, bus, or camper, she never turned down the opportunity to explore God’s creation.
To know Peggy was to love her. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and friend. She was a true homemaker, in every sense. She found joy in caring for her family with a selfless heart. She could make anywhere feel like home. Her table not only served food but laughter, card games, and so many memories.
Peggy devoted her life to serving not only her family and friends, but serving the Lord. She made herself the hands and feet of Christ during her years at Faith Church, where she faithfully attended.
Funeral services will be held on Monday, November 11, 2024, at 11:00 am at Faith Church with Pastor Robbie Sipes officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Sunday afternoon, November 10, 2024, from 4:00 pm until 6:00 pm at Faith Church. Active pallbearers will be Peggy’s grandsons, David Bell, Daniel Rash, Ethan Rash, Garrett Huff, Collin Huff, Chad Huff, and Luke Sipes. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Chris Compton and Wesley Sloan.
The family would like to thank everyone for your thoughts and prayers during this time, as we say goodbye to the tiny but mighty woman we all called Mamaw, Mom, and Peggy.
