Peggy Louise Bell Christopher

Peggy Louise Bell Christopher, 78, of Statesville, passed away on Friday, May 4, 2012 at Iredell Memorial Hospital. She was born in Iredell County on June 27, 1933 to the late James Burl and Ethel Perry Bell. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Roy Lee Christopher; two sons, Michael Lee Christopher (Pam) of Union Grove and Jeffrey Lynn Christopher of Statesville; a daughter, Tonya B. Carson (Jeff) of Stony Point; four grandchildren, Jeremiah Christopher (Christina), Robbie Kay Taylor (Josh), Adam Christopher (Jessica) and Cody Christopher; and three great grandchildren, Eli, Macey and Miley Christopher. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Doris Talbert, and a brother, Jimmy Bell. The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday, May 6, 2012 at Troutman Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 7, 2012 at Rocky Hill Baptist Church with the Rev. Henry Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. At other times, the family will assemble at the home of Michael Christopher, 173 Foothills Angus Drive off of Linney's Mill Road.
