Pearl (Liles) Warricks

Pearl Liles Warricks, 86, of Statesville passed away, April 24, 2023 at the Gordon Hospice House.

Pearl was born August 17, 1936 in Richmond County, NC and was the daughter of the late Archie Lee Liles and Ettie McGee Liles. She graduated from Rockingham City Schools and Southeastern Beauty College in Charlotte. On October 11, 1958, she married Herschel “Herb” Leanier Warricks, who passed away October 1, 2011. She was a member of Eastside Baptist Church and was retired from Neely, Ltd and Nicholson Funeral Home as a secretary/ bookkeeper.

She is survived by two sons, Steven L. Warricks (Karen), Rodney E. Warricks (Angela); two grandsons, Jason Warricks (Lauren), Daniel Warricks (Brittney); four step grandchildren, Travis Williams (Lisa), Tracie Dishman (AJ), Sierra Humphries, Joshua Humphries; five great grandchildren, Avery Grace Warricks, Brodie and Zander Warricks, Evie A. Warricks, Eli Cole Dishman and numerous nieces and nephews. She is also survived by the “strays”, you know who you are.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters.

Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Saturday, April 29, 2023 at Eastside Baptist Church with Rev. John Acker, Rev. Johnny Bolin and her son Steve Warricks officiating. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Saturday 2:00-3:00pm at the church before the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Gordon Hospice House.
