Paula Marie Cruz

Paula Marie Cruz, 70, Statesville, NC, passed away on August 26. A celebration of her life will be held at Troutman Funeral Home (345 North Main St, Troutman, NC) on Friday, September 4. Visitation will begin at 4 p.m., with the service starting at 5 p.m.

Paula was born on January 20, 1956, in Fort Worth, Texas. Paula was fiercely devoted to her son, Andrew — who predeceased her this past May — and loved her grandchildren deeply. Paula took joy in listening to the ocean waves and watching the people go by. In her later years, she looked forward to getting to know her customers at the gas station and anticipating their needs. While she could be a challenging personality and she had a complicated relationship with the world, her impact on our lives was undeniable. She will be forever remembered by her surviving children, Tracy, Nicholas, and Angela; her grandchildren, Mia, Isabella, Nathaniel, and Allie; and all who ever came to know her.

Flowers to adorn Paula's service can be sent to Troutman Funeral Home on Friday, September 4.
