Patricia "Pat" Ann (Jolly) Guy

Mrs. Patricia Jolly Guy, 69, of Statesville, passed away, Wednesday, November 25, 2020 at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Mrs. Guy was born October 15, 1951 in Iredell County and was the daughter of the late Fred C. Jolly and Nellie Johnson Jolly Wood. She was a 1969 graduate of North Iredell High School and on July 11, 1970, she married the love of her life, Archie Dennis Guy. She was an active member of Mountain View United Methodist Church, where she served in many different capacities from fundraising to Administrative Council. She loved being with her family, especially her daughters and grandchildren. She also loved cooking and planning events, such as get togethers and weddings. She was a “people person”, who never met a stranger. She loved to travel with her husband, Friendship Friends with Diamond Tours and especially on Mission Trips with the Robert Harris Ministries to the South American Countries of Mexico, Guatemala, Brazil and Dominican Republic. She devoted her life to taking care of others.

In addition to her husband of 50 years, she is survived by two daughters, Missy Guy James (Chris) of Statesville, Emily Guy McGee (Kyle) of Statesville; four grandchildren, Carson and Mayson James, Hallie and Holden McGee; three sisters, Lois Conner, Dot Jolly, Cathy Elliott (Marcus); one brother, Jim Jolly and a sister-in-law, Linda Jolly.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Arlis “Bud” Jolly and Jack Jolly.

Funeral services will be held 2:00pm Tuesday, December 1, 2020 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sarah Fisher officiating. The family will visit with friends on Tuesday from 1:00-2:00 pm at Troutman Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mountain View United Methodist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Chris James, Kyle McGee, Carson James, Holden McGee, Tommy Guy and Trey Hinson. Due to attendance restrictions of the United Methodist Church, the family requested services at Troutman Funeral Home with everyone wearing a mask and observing social distance.
