Pamela Roe Barnes, 59, of Statesville, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2016.
She was born on October 16, 1956, to the late Bernice "Johnelle" Hamrick Roe and William Thomas Roe, Jr. She was an eighth generation Floridian, raised in Monticello, Florida and was a graduate of Wildwood High School in Wildwood, Florida.
Pamela was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She loved life and was happy doing anything from camping to sports. She was an avid NASCAR fan who also loved the Panthers and Florida State. She traveled all over the United States with her family, with her favorite place being Hawaii where she married her husband, Michael.
Left to cherish her memory are her husband, Michael Barnes, of Statesville; daughter, Kristen Elaine Young Theis (Wayne) of Shelby; son, Jason William Young (Michelle) of Florida; sisters, Cindy Roe Littlejohn ("Chuck") and Linda Roe McDonald (Marty) of Tallahassee, Florida; and grandchildren, Gina Renee and Courtney Marie Theis of Shelby.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Regina Marie Young.
A graveside service will be held Saturday, March 26th at 2:00 p.m. in Iredell Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Tim Trexler officiating.
