Paden Moore Thompson, Jr.

Paden Moore Thompson, Jr., 83, of Troutman, passed away Tuesday, August 19, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Paden was born October 5, 1941, in Iredell County to the late Paden Moore Thompson, Sr. and Kathleen Martin Thompson. He was a graduate of Troutman High School, and he retired from Imperial Beverages. He loved animals and playing guitar. He was a big fan of Chet Adkins and Elvis Presley.

In addition to his parents, Paden was preceded in death by a son, Danny R. Thompson, a grandson, Lonnie Gene Welborn, Jr., a sister, Norma Thompson Ritchie, and brother-in-law, Rick Stallings.

Those left to cherish his memory are his daughter, Debra Welborn (Lonnie); son, Donnie Chet Thompson; grandson, Michael Paul Welborn; brother, Elvis Lee Thompson; sister, Donna Stallings; special brother-in-law, Ted Ritchie; several nieces and nephews.

There are no services planned at this time.
