Norman Allen Dixon

Mr. Norman Allen Dixon, 81, of Cleveland, NC passed away unexpectedly, Friday, March 8, 2019 following an automobile accident.

Norman was born February 13, 1938 in Iredell County and was the son of the late Fred Washington Dixon and Nessie Dixon Goodman. He was a graduate of Statesville High Schools and worked construction for many companies including Blythe Construction. He was married to the late Margaret Louise Sipes Dixon, who passed away March 22, 2018. He was a real outdoorsman, loving to hunt, fish and ride horses.

He is survived by three children, Barbara (Joey) Land, Kimberly Bowles and Steve Dixon; six grandchildren, Amanda Ebright, Billie Simonson, Crysta Welch, Morgan Latshaw, Cameron Dixon, Jadyn Dixon; four great grandchildren, Cayden Ebright, Jacob Ebright, Elyzabella Simonson, Tobenias Simonson and two sisters, Betty Mayberry and Martha Blevins.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, March 13, 2019 at Bethel Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Kramm officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday evening 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Troutman Funeral Home.
