Nancy Pauline Lambert Southers

Nancy Pauline Lambert Southers, 81, of Statesville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at Gordon Hospice House.

Nancy was born in Iredell County on February 11, 1944, to the late John Frances Lambert and Grace Lee Gregory Lambert.

She attended Statesville schools and in 1979 was married to Lexie Southers who died December 11, 2002. She was of the Baptist faith and was a cook and caterer in the food industry.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughter Dawn Harkey (Steve) of Stony Point; two sons, James “Buttons” Bowers (Tina) of Statesville and Todd Bowers (Loretta) also of Statesville; her grandchildren are: Justin Aremia (Christina), Kayla Pierce, Karley Harkey (Jeffery), J.T. Bowers, Hayden Harkey; and four great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a brother, George Lambert; sisters-in-law, Diane Lambert and Martha Lambert; and a host of nieces and nephews and extended family.

In addition to her husband and her parents, Nancy is also preceded in death by a daughter, Cindy Aremia in 2022; three brothers, Marvin Lambert, Sabert Lambert, and Robert Lambert; a sister, Rachel Fox and her husband Ken Fox; and sisters-in-law, Evon Lambert and Jeanette Lambert. She was also preceded in death by a stepson, Glenn Southers and his wife Barbara Southers.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, July 22, 2025, at Oakwood Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Eades officiating. The family will speak to friends following the services.
