Nancy Ann Potts

Nancy Potts 81, of Statesville, entered Glory on Sunday April 24, 2022, with exemplary care from Gordon Hospice House’s staff. Nancy was born December 23rd, 1940, to the late C.H. Potts and Lois Mills Potts.

Nancy graduated from Celeste Henkel High School and worked at Burlington Mills and Catawba Hosiery early in her working career and the Intercraft Industries. She enjoyed fellowship with friends as she cashiered at Western Steer, JRs Outlet store and King of the Sea.

Nancy is survived by the apple of her eye, her son, Keith (Tracy) Potts of Troutman. Then her next apples were her grandsons, Lloyd and Jared Potts and one great grandson, Maddox. Also surviving are, her sister, Kathy (Steve) Cash of Troutman, brother, John W Potts (Cathy) of Statesville, niece, Sherry (John) Baker, nephews, Mike Potts, Butch (Kim) Potts, Brian Cash (Stephanie) and Matt (Lesa) Cash and several cousins, including a close cousin, Violet Bost.

Nancy was blessed to have an extended family that were her friends and neighbors that her immediate family is so grateful for; Ricky and Maryanne Harman, Darlene Tyree, Shelly Patterson and Mick Brown.

In addition to her parents, Nancy was preceded in death by her brother, Steve Potts.

Nancy will always be remembered as a sweet humble spirit with a grateful heart. She always looked forward to family gatherings. Nancy’s childhood church was Bethlehem United Methodist Church, and later in life, she moved her membership to Troutman Baptist Church with her son’s family.

Nancy’s family would like to thank all the staff at Gordon Hospice House for all the exceptional care for her, as well as Lesa Cash for all her assistance, care and concern.

The family will receive friends at Troutman Baptist Church fellowship hall at 305 Perry Rd, Troutman, NC 28166 on Thursday, April 28, 2022, from 6:00 to 7:30 pm, as Nancy had requested.
