Myrtle Elenore Woodrow, 75, of Troutman passed away on Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the home of her niece and nephew-in-law, Dora and Eric Horne. She was born in Delaware County, NYon October 29, 1936 to the late Elenore Buttens and Walter Smith. She is survived by two sons, Earl Learn of South Dakota and Charles G. Woodrow, Jr. of New York; two daughters, Barbara Learn Parker of Troutman and Cheryl Woodrow of Florida; one sister, Jane Starks of NY; three brothers, Melvin Smith of Denton and Kenneth and Mike Smith, both of NY; 17 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends from 3 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, February 11, 2012 at Troutman Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tom McCrea officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd, Statesville, NC 28625.
