Muriel Loud Fulford

August 10, 1920 - July 16, 2018 Muriel Isabell Loud Fulford, 97, of Mooresville, went to be with the Lord on Monday, July 16, 2018 at Gordon Hospice House. She was born in Jersey City, NJ on August 10, 1920 to the late Carl Brewster Loud Sr. and Anna Beggs Loud. Muriel was a long-time member of Rocky Mount United Methodist Church. She dearly loved her church family. In her free time, Muriel enjoyed reading and coloring. She was also a big fan of the Atlanta Braves. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Walker Fulford Jr.; son, Carl Walker Fulford III; three brothers and two sisters. She is survived by her daughter, Barbara Fulford Eakins; sisters, Shirley Dunkelburger, Lorraine Erway, Peggy Chilson, and Kitty Powell; brother, Carl B. Loud; grandchildren, Tim Fulford, Kevin Eakins, Stephanie (Bruce) Meyer, and great-grandchildren, Rebecca Holland and Hudson Meyer. A visitation will be held at Rocky Mount United Methodist Church on Sunday, July 22, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. The memorial service will begin at 3:00 p.m. with Rev. Georgianne Hartline and Rev. Julie Hill officiating. Interment will immediately follow in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations in Muriel’s memory may be made to Rocky Mount UMC, 1739 Perth Road, Mooresville, NC 28117. Troutman Funeral Home is entrusted with the arrangements for Muriel Fulford.
