Mr. Noah Moffatt Cloer, 76, of Mooresville, N.C., passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 8, 2009, at Gordon’s Hospice House. He was born in Iredell County on Jan. 22, 1933, to the late Noah Garland and Addie Bruce Cloer. During his long, courageous battle with cancer, he served as an inspiration to many. In spite of his illness, he enjoyed serving others as a volunteer at Iredell Memorial Hospital. Before retiring, he had a lifetime career dedicated to the furniture manufacturing industry. He will be remembered for his ready smile and loving devotion to his family. He is survived by his wife, Nancy Starnes Cloer; three sons, Craig Cloer and wife, Sharon, of Morristown, Tenn.; Chuck Cloer of Advance, N.C.; and David Mooneyham and wife, Sandra, of Advance, N.C.; a daughter, Tricia C. Sapp and husband, Shannon, of Mooresville; six grandchildren, Josh, Adam and Alex Cloer, Ashley Mooneyham, Thomas and Audrey Sapp; a sister, Margaret C. Sharp and a brother, Gene Cloer, both of Statesville. A memorial service will be held at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Troutman on Thursday, Dec. 10, 2009, at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Matthew Miller officiating. A visitation will follow the service. A private burial will be held in St. Martin’s Lutheran Cemetery at 11 a.m. Memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church Restoration and Expansion Fund, P.O.
