Mike Bulla

Michael "Mike" Aaron Bulla, 51, of Statesville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 24, 2023, at his home surrounded by his family and loved ones after a hard-fought battle with cancer. Through his battle, one thing that never changed was his trust and faith in his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Mikey, as he was affectionately known, was born on April 4, 1972, in Bethesda, Maryland to James Bulla and the late Emma Medina Bulla. He was a member of Eufola Baptist Church and was a supervisor at Benfield Sanitation.

A few things he loved most were all of his girls under one roof, family gatherings, vacations, and spending time with friends that became family. Mike was a beloved husband, father, papa, and brother who will be missed dearly.

In addition to his mother, Mike was proceeded in death by his grandson Evan Lee Stone Jr "EJ". Those left to cherish his memories include his beloved wife, Rebecca "Becky" Hargrove Bulla; daughters, Ashley Stone (Evan), Amber Wooten, and Sophia Bulla; brother, Robert Bulla (Kim), granddaughters Aubree and Emersyn Stone, and numerous aunts, uncle, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A visitation will be held Friday, September 29, 2023, at Troutman Funeral Home from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, September 30, 2023, at Eufola Baptist Church with burial to follow in Oakwood Cemetery.
