Matthew David Mihuta

November 9, 1967 - June 11, 2018 Matthew David Mihuta, 50, of Troutman, NC, left his beloved North Carolina at 12:03 am, June 11, 2018, at Iredell Memorial Hospital. He was born in Elyria, OH on November 9, 1967, to Victor W., and Joyce M. Mihuta. He is survived by his mother, Joyce, of Cornelius, NC, his sister, Brenda Ossovicki, and brother, Adam Mihuta, both of Cleveland, OH, and six nieces and nephews. Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Victor, of Bedford, OH. Matthew graduated from North Mecklenburg High School in 1986. That same year he was in an automobile accident that caused him great difficulty and pain for many long years. He fought a good battle, staying independent to the very end. Matthew loved the outdoors and enjoyed spending time at the lake and the beach. He was an ardent fan of the Carolina Panthers, never missing a game of his grand "pussycats." We wish to thank his lifelong friends, David Miller, Roger Pritchett, Wayne Stutts and Lance Mitchell, for all their support in Matthews’ lifelong journey. True friends are a blessing. A memorial service honoring Matthew’s life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, June 16, at Troutman Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Elyria, Ohio.
