MaryAnn Johnson Byrnes, 73, of Mooresville, passed away on April 21, 2018 at Sherrills Ford Hospice House after fighting a courageous battle with breast cancer.
She was born on October 25, 1944 in Chicago, IL to the late Joseph Johnson and Mary Sowa Johnson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Joseph Johnson.
Left to cherish her memory is her beloved husband of 47 years, Michael John Byrnes; sons, Keith (Dianna) Byrnes and Scott (Tru) Byrnes; daughter, Michelle Byrnes; granddaughters, Danica Barley and Daphne Dieckhoff; step grandchildren, Jacob and Jesse Venezuela, and brother, John (Lynne) Johnson.
MaryAnn was known for her delicious cooking and baking. In her spare time, she loved to spend time with her granddaughters making crafts. In particular, she liked to make afghans with them. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time outside gardening. She especially loved hydrangeas. She loved her husband, children, and grandchildren dearly and held them all close to her heart.
