Mary Louise Brown Stikeleather, 100 of Cleveland, NC, passed away Monday, February 20, 2023 at the Gordon Hospice House in Statesville.
Mrs. Stikeleather was born in Iredell County, July 22, 1922, the daughter of the late Stamey Othor Brown and Cora Bell Cline Brown. She was a graduate of Scotts High School and was married to the late Herman Stikeleather, who passed away in 1997. Mary was a member of Knox Chapel United Methodist Church and made her career as a homemaker. She loved creating a good home, gardening, canning, doing crossword puzzles, but most of all dearly loved her family.
In addition to her husband of 47 years and her parents, she was preceded in death by 2 sisters, 5 brothers, and 4 sisters-in-law.
Mrs. Stikeleather is survived by her daughter/caregiver, Shirley Stikeleather (Brent Holshouser), her brother-in-law, Clyde Stikeleather and a number of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be conducted Thursday, February 23, 2023 at 11:00 am, at Knox Chapel United Methodist Church Cemetery, with Dr. Eric Faust officiating.
