Mary Aileen Stroud Powell

Mary Aileen Stroud Powell, 91, of Statesville, passed away Monday, September 29, 2025, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Aileen was born May 29, 1934, in Iredell County, to the late John Pinkey Stroud and Ethel May Ladd Stroud. She was a member of Northview Church of Christ.

In addition to her parents, Aileen was preceded in death by her husband, Norman S. Powell and sister, Marie Vaughn.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Angela P. Mobley (Mike) and Teresa P. Wishon (Robert); son, Scott Powell (Kelsie); grandchildren, Christy Burton (Nathan), Kayla McDonnell (Jesse), and Paxton Powell; great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn Burton and Kinsley McDonnell; brother, Donald Stroud (Janet).

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Saturday, October 4 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Les Bonnet officiating. The family will visit with friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 pm until 3:00 pm.
