Mary Louise (Sides) Murdock

Mrs. Mary "Louise" Murdock, 90, of Statesville passed away, Sunday, June 30, 2019, at Accordius Health in Statesville.

Mrs. Murdock was the daughter of the late Zachariah Prevette Sides and Jettie Zelda Reavis Sides. She attended school in Statesville and on July 20, 1947, was married to Henry H. Murdock, who preceded her in death on April 12, 2015. She worked at the Southern Bell Telephone Company and held sales positions for various business over the years. She enjoyed RV camping with her husband, cooking and gardening.

She is survived by one son, Mike Murdock and his wife Colette of Edmond, OK, one granddaughter, Amanda Murdock, one grandson, Scott Murdock, two nieces Carolyn Kerk, of Phoeniz, AZ and Melissa Grose of Statesville and Melissa’s son, Evan “Skip” Grose of Lenoir.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM on Saturday, July 6, 2019, at the Troutman Funeral Home with the Rev. Don Hawkins officiating. The family will visit with friends Friday, July 5th evening 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Troutman Funeral Home.
