Mary Louise Cook

Mary Louise Cook, age 93, of Statesville, NC passed away on Sunday, June 8, 2025. Louise was born on July 13, 1931. She was preceded in death by her mother Lucy Compton, and her husband of 56 years, John Albert Cook (Johnny). She is survived by her sister, Peggy Shives, and one son John Joseph Cook (Joe). Following high school graduation, Louise completed training and enjoyed working as a dental hygienist in Albuquerque, NM until the birth of her son, after which she dedicated her life to being a mother and home maker. She later served in assistant management of her husband’s business - Cook Roofing. 

A graveside service will be held at Concord Presbyterian Cemetery on Thursday, June 12 at 11:00 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests those interested to reach out to community members experiencing loneliness or isolation with a telephone call, letter or a visit to help ease long hours alone.
