Mary Rozelle (Byers) Cline

Mary Rozelle Byers Cline, 94, of Statesville, passed away, Saturday, April 17, 2021 at her residence.

Mrs. Cline was born May 3, 1926 in Statesville and was the daughter of the late Julius William Byers and Julia Ann Lail Byers. She attended Celeste Henkel School and was married to the late Joseph Coskie Cline, Jr. She was a member of Southside Baptist Church in Mooresville and was retired from Burlington Industries.

She is survived by one daughter, Sandra C. Kennedy (Kenneth) of Statesville, one sister, Nellie Byers Loftin Riffe (Cecil) of Troutman, one sister-in-law, Joy Stewart Byers of Statesville and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Joseph Coskie Cline, III; one daughter, Barbara Ann Cline and seven brothers, Brady, George, Zeb, Mack, Oliver, Jerry and Kelly Byers.

Funeral services will be 11:00am Wednesday, April 21, 2021 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Hal Greene officiating. Burial will follow in the Glenwood Cemetery in Mooresville. The family will visit with friends on Wednesday from 10:00-11:00am at Troutman Funeral Home.

Memorials may be made to Southside Baptist Church, New Bethany Baptist Church or Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County.
