Martha (Cline) Privette

Martha Cline Privette, 83, of Crumpler, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2022, at Gordon Hospice House.

Martha was born on January 25, 1939, in Iredell County to the late James Lester Cline and Lillie Fox Cline. She worked at Cardinal Medical Supply, cleaned houses and worked at Bingo in Rock Hill, SC prior to retiring to Ashe County. She loved collecting clocks and roosters and watching beautiful sunsets in the mountains.

In addition to her parents, Martha was preceded in death by her husband, Conard Privette, daughter, Kim Moore and sister, Frances Whitener.

Those left to cherish Martha’s memory include her sister, Dorothy Cline Vinson, grandchildren, Josh Moore (Brooke), Matt Moore (Whitney), Shannon Moore (Bradley), niece, Patty Whitener, nephew, Jeffery Vinson and four great grandchildren. Also surviving are her special friends, children of Ray Viers; Johnny, David and Michael Viers, Debbie Cozart, Jennifer Colhoun, Sandy Hamm and her faithful dog, Sassy.

A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm, Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at New River Baptist Church with Rev. Wayne Jones officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior, 1:00 to 2:00 pm.
