Martha Karen Miller

Martha Karen Lederer Miller, 78, of Statesville, passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at the Gordon Hospice House.

Karen was born January 25, 1947, in Iredell County, to the late Walter Eugene Lederer and Kathleen Miller Lederer. She was a graduate of Statesville High School Class of ’65 and was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church. She enjoyed teaching ceramics out of her home and going to craft shows, and she loved her dogs and going to car shows.

In addition to her parents, Karen was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Wallace Miller and her sister-in-law, Carolyn Lederer.

Those left to cherish her memory are her brothers, David Carl Lederer (Gayle) and Walter E. Lederer, Jr.; sister, Rhonda Susan Lederer; nephew, David Todd Lederer (Sonya); great niece, Samantha Lederer; great nephew, Carson Lederer.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, November 12 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with Dale Stanley officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to an animal rescue organization of the donor’s choice or Gordon Hospice House, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625.
