Martha Stroud Cash

Mrs. Martha Stroud Cash, 94, was called home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 3rd, 2026. She was born on May 26th, 1932, in Iredell County, the daughter of the late Norris A. & Leora G. Stroud. She attended Cool Spring School, graduating in 1950. On November 20th, 1953, she married William J. Cash who preceded her in death. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers William and Kenneth Stroud.

She is survived by her children, Dr. C. LaVerne Cash of Maryland, Dennis J. Cash of Statesville, and BeLinda C. Marshall (Ricky) of Ronda, NC.

She retired from J. C. Penney Distribution Center after 28 years of employment. She was a member of Western Avenue Baptist Church for 72 years where, as a volunteer and later part-time church hostess, served many, many meals. It was her calling to serve others, and she was fully devoted to the task serving joyfully and with great love.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 9th, 2026, at Iredell Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held Tuesday afternoon at Western Avenue Baptist Church beginning at 2:00 p.m. with a Celebration of Life service at 3:00 p.m. in the church sanctuary. Officiating will be Dr. Jeff Spry.
