Marlene (Bowlin) Morrow

Mrs. Alice Marlene Bowlin Morrow, 87, of Statesville went home to be with her Lord and Savior on February 3, 2023, with her kids by her side.

She was born June 24, 1935, in Iredell County to the late Walter Roy Bowlin and Sally Mae Mitchell Bowlin. She graduated from Statesville Senior High School and from Charlotte Memorial School of Nursing with an RN degree. She retired from Iredell Memorial Hospital and Dr. Jim Smith's office. Mrs. Morrow was a member of Beulah Baptist Church in Statesville for 54 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Edwin W. Morrow; and her brother Floyd Bowlin. Surviving are her children, Dale Keith Morrow (Melissa), Kimberly Evans (Stephen), and Darrell Edwin Morrow (Taryn); grandchildren, Adam Keith Morrow, and Elaina Selene Morrow; and her sister, Phyllis Ann Deal.

The family will receive friends on Tuesday, February 7, 2023, from 1:30 pm until 3:00 pm at Troutman Funeral Home. Her funeral will be conducted at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Troutman Funeral Home by Rev. Stephen Evans and Dale Morrow. Burial will follow at Beulah Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family would like to say a very special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Iredell County, Dr. Pam Westmoreland Sholar and Karsyn B. Martin for the loving care given to Mrs. Morrow.
