Mark Berkelbach

Mark Berkelbach, Jr., 18, of Statesville, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Friday, March 22, 2013. He was born on January 27, 1995 in Philadelphia, PA to Michele Siebert Berkelbach and the late Mark A. Berkelbach, Sr. Mark was an avid skateboarder who loved the color purple and enjoyed playing soccer. He was a senior at South Iredell High School and was recently named "Student of the Day." Mark was loved very much by his family and everyone who met him. He will be truly missed. He is survived by his mother, Michele Berkelbach, of Statesville; brothers, Robert Costello, Jr and wife, Ashley, of Philadelphia, PA and Michael Berkelbach of the home; a sister, Theresa Frabizio of Arizona; nephews, Nathan, Pasquale, Robert and Jack Killian; and nieces, Briana and Abigail. A Prayer Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 27, 2013 at Troutman Funeral Home with the Rev. David A. Teague officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. the same evening.
