Maria Rodriguez Diaz

Maria Rodriguez Diaz, age 76, of Statesville, NC, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026. Born on January 6, 1950, in Puerto Rico, she was the daughter of the late Antolino Rodriguez and Setua Diaz. She was of the Catholic faith and worked as a sewer in the furniture industry. She loved camping, crossword puzzles, dominoes, flowers, and watching the birds. Maria dearly loved her family.

Maria is survived by her children, daughter, Elsie Roman (Awilda Santiago), son, Ferdinand Roman (Lisa Haire), daughter, Maritza Roman, and daughter, Jennyfer Roman; her grandchildren, Luis Cintron, Zaritzialee Cintron, Jonathan Cintron, Maria Roman, Charlotte Roman, Jimmy Diaz, Zaritma Torres, Damian Torres, and Gean Pierre Torres; and seven great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, at 6:00 pm in the chapel of Troutman Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 5:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home.
