Margaret Anne (Echerd) Forsyth

Margaret Anne “Nana” Echerd Forsyth, 88, of Statesville, passed away, June 18, 2023 in Winston-Salem, NC.

Mrs. Forsyth was born July 7, 1934 in Statesville, NC and was the daughter of the late Horace Roscoe Echerd and Florence White Echerd. She was a graduate of Statesville Senior High School and was married to the late Jasper “Cecil” Forsyth for 51 years. She was a member of Welcome Baptist Church, where she served as a Secretary and was very active.

She is survived by one son, Randy D. Forsyth (Edie), one daughter, Sandy Moran (Alan), sister-in-law, Lori Echerd, two grandchildren, Julie F. Reaume (PJ), Nicholas Forsyth (Lauren); three great grandchildren, Kylie Forsyth, Nolan Forsyth and Reese Reaume.

She was preceded in death by two brothers, Joe C. Echerd and William H. Echerd.

Funeral services will be held 3:00pm Thursday, June 22, 2023 at Troutman Funeral Home with Rev. John Parks officiating. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery. The family will visit with friends on Thursday from 2:00-3:00pm at Troutman Funeral Home.
