Margaret Louise Sipes Dixon

August 11, 1939 - March 22, 2018 Margaret Louise Sipes Dixon, affectionately known as "Kilkie", 78, of Amity Hill, went to her heavenly home on Thursday, March 22, 2018 at Gordon Hospice House in Statesville. She was born on August 11, 1939 in Statesville, NC to the late Roy William Sipes and Mary Lee Combs Sipes. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one sister, Virginia Sipes. Margaret was a bookkeeper for Cooke’s Pharmacy for over thirty years. She was also a member of Bethel Baptist Church. She enjoyed sewing, baking, and spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for being a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She is survived by her beloved husband of 58 years, Norman Allen Dixon; daughters, Barbara (Joey) Land and Kimberly (Patrick) Bowles; son, Steve Dixon; brother, Michael (Sandy) Sipes; sister, Rebecca (Gary) Bishop; grandchildren, Amanda Ebright, Billie Simonson, Crysta Welch, Morgan Latshaw, Cameron Dixon, Jadyn Dixon; and great-grandchildren, Cayden Ebright, Jacob Ebright, Elyzabella Simonson, and Tobenias Simonson, all who will miss her dearly. A visitation will be held on Sunday, March 25, 2018 at Troutman Funeral Home Chapel from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. The funeral service will be held on Monday, March 26, 2018 at Bethel Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Allen Shuler and Rev. Jeff Rowland officiating. Interment will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery.
