Mack Boyden Dishman died unexpectedly on Saturday, January 18, 2014 at Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson, NC.
He was born on December 22, 1943 to the late Harrison and Margaret Dishman.
He attended North Mecklenburg High School and later served his country honorably in the Army National Guard for six years.
Mack was a true family man who dearly loved his family, grandchildren and great granddaughter. He particularly enjoyed being outdoors and working in his yard. He also enjoyed the mountains and camping while he was able.
He is survived by his wife, Rachel, of Statesville; daughter, Lisa (Curtis) Dyson of Troutman; son, Brian (Sheila) Dishman of Mooresville; brother, Charles (Colleen) Dishman of Mooresville; sister, Brenda (Jerry) Roberts of Mooresville; two granddaughters, Alicia and Lauren Dishman of Mooresville; two grandsons, Matthew and Andrew Dyson of Troutman; and one great granddaughter, Liberty Brown of Mooresville.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James Dishman.
A memorial service honoring the life of Mack will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21, 2014 in the Troutman Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Chancee Carter officiating.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 3:00 - 4:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
