Mable Ruth Dixon Fox, 94, of Statesville, passed away, Thursday, June 20, 2019 at the Gordon Hospice House. Mrs. Fox was born March 10, 1925 in Troy, NC and was the daughter of the late Jacob James Dixon and Myrtle Hansil Dixon. She attended Moore County Schools and was retired from Bryan Mills. She was married to Ross Eugene Fox, the love of her life for 55 years before his passing on November 27, 1999. Mrs. Fox is survived by four children, Winnie Jenkins of Stony Point, Carl Fox (Kathy), Patricia Gordon (Larry), Ted Fox (Penny) all of Statesville. Other survivors include three grandchildren, Cheryl Eames (Jeff), Shanna Oakley (David), Kristina Guthrie (Matt); five great grandchildren, Scotty Dulin (Malory), Luke and Katherine Oakley, Mia and Rose Guthrie, two great great grandchildren, Kourtney and Taylin Dulin. Also surviving are two sisters, Rachel D. Lambert, and Wilma D. Smith of Statesville, and one brother, Ronald Dixon (Sandy) of Conover. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Branard Fox; five sisters, Nellie D. Allen, Margaret D. Holt, Connie D. Fox, Carol D. Hager, Olivia Kate Dixon and three brothers, Charles, Lloyd, and William Dixon. The family will visit with friends from 1:00-2:00 pm Sunday, June 23, 2019 at Fairview Baptist Church in Statesville. The funeral service will follow immediately at 2:00 p.m. with Dr. Scott Eanes and Rev. Paul Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Oakwood Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Gordon Hospice House and online condolences may be made to the family at www.troutmanfuneralhome.com The family would like to give a special thanks to Cynthia Gillespie, Ann Rogers, Dell Church, and Billie Jean Holbrook for all the love and care she received while in her home.
