Mrs. Louise Ramsey Dagenhart, 96, of Troutman, passed away on Sunday, January 31, 2016.
She was born in Lincoln County on October 11, 1919 to the late Leila Elizabeth and Luther Ramsey.
Mrs. Dagenhart was devoted to her family and enjoyed their times together. She especially enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed reading and solving word search puzzles.
She was a member of Troutman First United Methodist Church where she was a member of the choir.
She is survived by her son, Ralph (Sheila) Dagenhart of Troutman; grandchildren, Richard (Lisa) Dagenhart of Mooresville and Phillip (Melissa) Dagenhart of Troutman; and great grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Carson, Dylan and Taylor Dagenhart.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Rowe Dagenhart; sisters, Mary Morrow, Anne Waugh, Laura Hobbs and Naomi Morrison; and brother, Hugh Ramsey.
The family will receive friends Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 1:00 - 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Troutman First United Methodist Church. The funeral service will immediately follow at 2:00 p.m. with the Rev. Mike Carr officiating. Interment will follow the service in Iredell Memorial Gardens.
The family would like to thank the staff of Brookdale Senior Living, the doctors and nurses on 3 North at Iredell Memorial Hospital especially Dr. Ben Dunlap and her home caregivers, Robbin Swanson, Sheila Rousseau, Toni Dunlap and Donna Smith. We truly appreciate all the care you gave Mrs. Dagenhart.
