Lori Leigh Green Smith

Lori Leigh Green Smith, 65, of Salisbury, North Carolina, passed away on Thursday, July 30, 2026, at Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital.

Born on September 10, 1960, in St. Petersburg, Florida, Lori was the daughter of the late Charles D. Green and Dorothy Wilmoth Green. She graduated from Eustis High School and worked for many years at Bank of America.

Lori found joy in life's simple pleasures. She loved gardening, enjoyed reading a good book, and treasured every opportunity to be with her grandchildren. Her love for animals and appreciation of wildlife were a constant source of joy throughout her life.

Lori is survived by her husband of 37 years, Gary Dale Smith; her daughter, Khrystyne Rasmussen (Jeffrey) of Pineville, North Carolina; her son, Sean Smith of Mooresville, North Carolina; and her grandchildren, Landen Smith, Aiden Smith, and Amelia Smith. She is also survived by her brother, Dale Richard Green (Stacy); her sister, Cheryl Pait (Steven); and her nieces, Chelsea Hosler and Erin Pait.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
