Lora "Lori" Ann Smith

Lora “Lori” Ann Smith, 52, of Mt. Ulla, passed away Monday, March 23, 2026, at her home.

Lori was born July 24, 1973, in Nicholas County, West Virginia, and was the daughter of Guy Winston Smith and Nancy Lynn Moss Smith, who survive. She graduated from Greenbrier West High School in West Virginia and later earned her bachelor’s degree from Berea College in Kentucky. She found joy in reading and drawing, and above all, she deeply cherished her family.

In addition to her parents, Lori is survived by her sister, Christy Cox (Daniel); niece, Baysleigh Cox; nephew, Caleb Dunbar (Andrea); great nieces, Iris Dunbar and Joanna Dunbar; great nephews, Walker Dunbar and Reid Dunbar; and several cousins.

A celebration of life service will be held at Shady Grove Baptist Church in the near future and will be announced prior to that time.
