Loletta Howard

Loletta King Howard, 86, of Troutman, passed away Tuesday, February 17, 2026, at her home.

Loletta was born August 26, 1939, in Swain County, NC, to the late Samuel Pinkney King and Dessie Herron King.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Rodney G. Howard; daughter, Lisa Locklin; brother, Ray King; sisters, Sue Pulley and Hilda Grant.

Those left to cherish Loletta’s memory are her children, Tim Howard, Renee McDaniels (Steve), Jeff Howard (Katrina), and Marla Harwell (Wayne); siblings, Marie Hager and Dollie Karriker; twelve grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren.

A service will be held at a later date.
