Lois Houston Clodfelter, 92, of Troutman, passed away on Wednesday, March 30, 2011 at her residence. Mrs. Houston was born February 17, 1919 in Iredell County, the daughter of the late Joseph Clinton and Lois Coe Young Clodfelter. She attended Kings Business School in Charlotte. She was a lifelong member of Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, a charter member of the UM Women and was President and Secretary of the Senior Citizens group for many years. She volunteered at Davis Hospital for ten years and was secretary of the Davis Hospital School of Nursing. She is survived by one son, Gerald Allen Clodfelter of Troutman and two grandchildren, Crystal and Ashley Clodfelter. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Herman Hubert Clodfelter, and one sister, Mary L. Houston. A visitation will be held at Troutman Funeral Home on Thursday, March 31, 2011 from 6-8 p.m. Funeral services celebrating Lois’ life will be held at Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church, 579 Weathers Creek Road in Troutman on Friday, April 1, 2011 at 11:00 a .m. with the Rev. David Reep officiating. Burial will immediately follow the service in the church cemetery.
