Lloyd Dean Sain

Lloyd Dean Sain, 76 of Statesville, passed away Wednesday, February 15, 2023.

Mr. Sain was born in Cleveland County, September 13, 1946, the son of the late Harold McCoy Sain and Betty Jean Bingham Sain.  Dean attend John Wesley College in Greensboro, NC and spent his career as a Process Engineer with CommScope and retired after 37 years with the company.  He proudly served his country as a US Marine during the Vietnam Conflict and was a member of American Legion Post 401.  In 1972 he married the love of his life Phyllis Dianne Williams Sain.

Dean is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dianne, his sons Chris Sain (Laura) and Harold Sain (Dana Troutman Sain), his siblings; Charles Sain, Doris Abernathy (Billy), Jerry Sain, Michael Sain, Christine Hill (Brian) and Carl Sain.  He is further survived by his grandchildren; Drew, Danielle, Carson (Halee), Christin, Cassidy, Logan, Olivia, Meredith Grace, Hadley, and Alaya.

The family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 pm, Saturday, February 18, 2023 at Fallstown Baptist Church.  A funeral service celebrating the life of Dean Sain will be conducted at 2:00 pm.  Burial with full military honors will follow in the church cemetery.  Online condolences may be made to the Sain family at www.troutmanfuneralhome.com
