Linda Carol Stewart Plyler, 76, of Troutman, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025.
Linda was born October 31, 1948, to the late Thomas Newell Stewart, Sr. and Ethel Robinette Stewart.
Linda was a member of Troutman Baptist Church for over 50 years and was a Mission Friends leader for several years. She was a registered nurse, graduating at the top of her class at the Davis School of Nursing.
She worked with the blood mobile and walked for The March of Dimes. Linda was also a member of an adult ladies dance group for many years, but her biggest joy in life was spending time with her grandsons.
Left to cherish her memory are her two sons, Ashley Neil Plyler (Loretta Lowtharpe) and Jeremy Lee Plyler; two grandsons, Wyatt Lee Plyler and Remington Reagan Plyler; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her sister, Sandra Stewart Hines, brother, Thomas Newell Stewart, Jr. and her niece, Heather Hines.
The family would also like to express sincere gratitude to a special group of ladies who took great care of Linda during the final years before her homegoing: Jacqueline McDonald, Becky Ladd, Rose Alexander, Tasheena Porter, Stephanie Lytle, Paulette Adams, Starr Smith, Yvonne Defoe, and Gidget Rucker.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, April 16, 2025, at Troutman Baptist Church with Rev. Steve Kramm officiating. The family will visit with friends prior to the service from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Iredell County, 2347 Simonton Rd. Statesville, NC 28625.
