Linda Black Hoke, of Statesville, passed away at Gordon Hospice House and went to be with her Lord and Savior on Thursday, May 7th. If you knew Linda, you knew she loved the Lord, her family, music, and making memories with the people she loved most. She especially enjoyed trips to Seabrook Island. One of her greatest joys in life was watching her grandchildren and great-grandchildren grow and cheering them on through every stage of life. She was a source of love and strength that brought us all together.
Linda is preceded in death by her parents, William and Dorothy Black.
Those who are left to cherish her memory include her brother, Ronnie Black; daughter, Carol Milligan (Lance); son, Jay Hoke (Mary); daughter, Tricia Pharr (Mark); and daughter, Rachel Gibson. Grandchildren: Mackenzie Milligan, Landon Milligan, Carly Sparks, Macie Hoke, Owen Hoke, Brett Wingler, Brylee Ayotte, Brooklyn Gibson, and Braceyn Gibson. Great-grandchildren: South Wingler, Billie Wingler, and Gwendolyn Sparks.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to caregiver and dear friend, Haley Riffe, for the love, care, compassion, and support she gave to both Linda and the family during this time.
A private ceremony for the family will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to Troutman Funeral Home, where all proceeds will go to her caregiver in honor of the excellence and selfless service she gave to Linda and her family.
Troutman Funeral Home is serving the family.
