Linda Darnell Hager

Linda Darnell Hager, 78, of Statesville, passed away Thursday, October 8, 2026, at Iredell Memorial Hospital.

Born in Norfolk County, VA on December 6, 1947, she was the daughter of the late Albert Benjamin Hager and Flora Elizabeth Stutts Hager.

She was a graduate of Mooresville High School, Class of 1966. Over the years, Linda’s career path included time at Clark Equipment, as well as roles in insurance sales and apartment leasing and management. Most recently, she brought her style to her current job as a sales associate with TJ Maxx.

A devout Christian, Linda’s life was defined by her deep love for her family and her remarkably compassionate heart. She was a lover of animals, frequently rescuing any creature in need, but especially cats. Linda approached every aspect of her life with a commitment to perfection, taking immense pride in everything she did. She will be long remembered for her elegance, always being beautifully dressed for every occasion.

Those left to cherish her memory are her daughter, Crystal Elizabeth Overcash; her grandsons, Cameron Michael Hensley and Caleb Thomas Overcash; her great-grandson, Hayden Thomas Overcash; and her beloved cat, Elliot Slater Hager.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at Troutman Funeral Home.
